Few people realise that in government spending, the pandering to insecure seniors quadruples expenditure. Three simple suggestions have been made:
PDF all print outs, and print what you need;
Teach screen dependent processing for aged staff; and,
Save copies in archives, not in storage containers.
However, since the simple addition of scanning technology, the fortress of information held to insecure seniors has been breeched. This one addition, an adaptation of a simple photocopier, all information has become easily editable. Now all change is challenged just in case one little upgrade makes the ignorant seniors more visible.

Guide To Government Spending
It is a unique world in which we live. Common sense reigns supreme, but in the public service, it rains supreme (as in a Dominoes pizza). Think about the KPI engines that drive performance:
These delightful tracking engines show how well one person is working in relation to another...
But.
(Never underestimate the size of a but, even if the font size is misleading)
The KPI counter only goes up too 999.
Once you reach 999 your next step is zero.
Perhaps I should decode this figure.
999 is in fact percent.
Percentage of work compared to your next closest counterpart.
Like petrol prices, I suppose nobody considered the possibility of needing a four digit system, but believe me, the day of $10.00 per litre is coming.
With all of the private sector employees coming across to the government during the recession, we are now seeing the 999 KPIs.
again BUT.
To ensure the figures don't look too bad these KPIs will be retained, and, anyone who goes above the 999, will receive zero.
Just another way the government is providing quality service to the public.
